In this role, René will lead development efforts in Mexico and Central America, with a focus on business hotels and resorts, overseeing the entire development process from inception to project execution.

René brings more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry and a strong track record in hotel development and expansion throughout Latin America. Most recently, he served as Director of Development at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in Mexico, where he spearheaded strategic growth initiatives throughout the country.

Prior to that, he held senior development and expansion roles at IHG Hotels & Resorts in Mexico and other regions of Latin America, supporting new developments, conversions, franchise agreements, joint ventures, and hotel management contracts for various global brands.

The appointment reflects Aimbridge LATAM’s continued investment in the region, bringing international standards and operational expertise to owners and developers in Mexico and Central America.

René is based in Mexico City and will work closely with Aimbridge’s regional and global development teams.
